Order Texts
Prep & Plate order-update texts are transactional messages about a specific order, including order confirmation and pickup-ready updates. The same agreement covers account texts about your Prep & Plate Rewards and referrals, sent when points, store credit or a reward is added to your account.
How Consent Works
Consent for Prep & Plate order-update texts is optional. When you check out, your cart has a mobile number field and an unchecked box with the order-text disclosure next to it. You agree to texts about that order, and account texts about your Rewards and referrals, only by entering your number and checking the box. If you skip it, the order confirmation page offers the same choice once more. Providing a phone number is never required to place or complete an order, and a phone number saved on your account is not used for these texts unless you check the box. These texts are transactional and are separate from optional marketing meal-drop alerts.
You can receive order-update texts without signing up for marketing meal-drop alerts, and you can sign up for marketing meal-drop alerts without receiving order-update texts. The two programs are separate and each has its own opt-in.
Program Details
- Program: Prep & Plate order-update and account texts.
- Purpose: order confirmation and pickup-ready updates, and notices when Rewards points, referral rewards, store credit or a birthday treat are added to your account.
- Frequency varies: up to 2 messages per order, plus one each time something is added to your account.

Separate From Marketing Texts
Order-update text consent is not the same as Prep & Plate marketing SMS consent. Marketing meal-drop alerts and occasional offers use a separate optional checkbox on the Text Alerts page. Prep & Plate does not require marketing text consent as a condition of purchase.
